Abstract

Strategic Tutoring is a research-validated instructional tutoring approach during which tutors teach students a learning strategy while assisting them with assignments, thus leading to greater student independence (Hock, Deshler, Schumaker, 2000). Recently, three computerized programs designed to provide professional development and training in Strategic Tutoring were created and field-tested. The purpose of this session is to demonstrate the software, share the results of the research, and discuss various options for implementation.
