Abstract

This research paper presents the findings of a study examining relationships between community and student success in online learning. The study was conducted using a survey of students enrolled in courses at an accredited online university. Data were collected using a survey which was designed to measure student participation, perceived learning and sense of community. Results of this research point toward positive relationships between learner interaction and engagement, sense of community and student success in online learning environments.
