Abstract
This study reports on the use of videos as vehicles for encouraging pre-service teachers to reflect on teaching practicum through critiquing peer teaching and compares the variation among pre-service teachers in different disciplines. Pre-service teachers from different disciplines participated in the study. Data were collected from participant reflections through individual interviews. Qualitative data analysis (Lincoln, & Guba, 1985) was used on the information collected. Results suggest that video-enabled web-based computer-mediated communication system facilitated reflection, and functioned more beneficially among the pre-service teachers in the same disciplines than in different disciplines. Based on the results, some implications for innovating teacher education are indicated.
