Abstract

This paper describes the collaborative design, development, and implementation of a Human Performance Technology (HPT) course within the Instructional design and technology (IDT) curriculum. The paper further discusses the instructor's and students' perspectives related to the role of HPT and future implications on the practice of IDT in the light of current trends in e-learning and globalization.
