Abstract
In this paper we describe how the web allows for the implementation of a constructivist approach in EAP (English for Academic Purposes) courses, which deal with specialized academic texts as well as advanced foreign language skills. We show how the web enables both cognitive and task flexibility and can facilitate the seamless integration of language learning objectives such as vocabulary expansion, with reading skills, communicative skills and digital literacy skills, while encouraging knowledge construction in suitable content areas.
