Abstract

The implementation of technology in the classroom requires time and effort from faculty who need to learn the technology and design effective ways to integrate it. The purpose of the research presented is to investigate classroom applications of technology and to communicate the new experiences to the academic world. New ways of thinking, learning, and teaching are explored. For the study, two undergraduate classes at Springfield College, Massachusetts were investigated. One used technology while the other used traditional textbook methods. Data collected demonstrates that technology is a suitable tool to increase motivation, participation and learning
