Abstract

Typically, online conversations within a university course or a community of professionals tend to take the form of a dialogue or discussion focusing on a given theme. The two different cases presented here are quite different, despite being goal-related. Cronjé and Rauscher explored the affective domain of email messages sent during an online course, whereas Sherry and Obermeyer explored design conversations among key administrators and technology leaders within a national network of teacher educators.
