This rapid development has empowered informal learning, and is now leading to the exploration of new methods/models/Applications to support this kind of learning in educational institutions and in particular at universities. The primary aim of this paper is to explore the enormous opportunities that mobile Apps could bring into universities to further empower informal learning. A secondary aim is to discuss how certain mobile Apps could be integrated seamlessly to support informal learning. A third aim is to discuss how models and methods can assist in defining the design for mobile learning Apps at several locations. Student’s acceptance and attitudes towards this integration is also being investigated and assessed.
