Abstract

In 2007, the case was made through various reports to focus education efforts toward science and engineering. One recent movement within Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) areas for education is often under-represented in teacher preparation programs, Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS). MEMS focuses on miniaturized mechanical and electro-mechanical micro-fabrication, and is often considered a part of Nanotechnology. This virtual brief paper is a work-in-progress focused on synthesizing current research and resources in order to develop an annotated guide for pre-service and in-service teachers of online materials available.
