This research aims to examine the relationship between media usage habits, media literacy levels of high school students and their tendencies to media violence. The sample of the research has been composed of 649 students in four different high schools in Canakkale (Turkey). At the end of the data analysis, it has been found that there was a relationship between average points of media literacy scale and average points of media violence scale. It has been found that there has been no significant difference between the average points of students for media violence scale according to school type and grade variables and there has been significant difference between the average points of students for media violence scale according to gender variable. Finally, it has emerged that there has been a significant difference between the average points for media violence scale according to daily times spend for watching television, playing video games and reading a book.
