Abstract

All individuals learn in different ways from listening, watching, questioning helping others to learn. Lifelong learning programmes aimed at people in the workplace must be suited to their particular needs. When addressing learning needs using technology, management, staff and technical support in higher-level institutes face new challenges and are required to make new decisions. Blended Learning solves these problems with others of speed, scale, and impact and leverages e-learning where it’s most appropriate, without forcing e-learning into places it does not fit. The term “Blended Learning” is being used with increased frequency in both academic and corporate circles. This paper outlines the model of blended learning which has evolved in a large environment, undergraduate subjects offered across multiple campuses. Blended learning system combine face-to-face instruction with computer mediated instruction. Traditional face-to-face and distributed environment which allows development of blended learning system is discussed. Also current trends and issues are outlined.
