Abstract
This paper describes the development and use of audio-visual materials (“DVD-boxes”) to support teacher training in Cambodia. These DVD boxes are developed by the Flemish Association for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance (VVOB) in collaboration with the Provincial Teacher Training College of Siem Reap, Cambodia. The main objective of the DVD-box materials is to support teaching of the subject “Methodology” at teaching at teacher training colleges. Both teacher trainers for Pedagogy or Methodology and subject teacher trainers have to transfer knowledge and skills about good teaching methodologies to student teachers. The DVD box offers practical or classroom examples to illustrate the theory about teaching methodology.
