Abstract
With the influence of wireless techniques, the m-learning (mobile learning) has already stepped into our life. This new technique can be incorporated into the learning, expanding the learning content, and extending the learning efficacies. Among the many theme based English learning environment the “fashion store” of the International English Village is the theme of this research. This research aims to plan a u-learning (ubiquitous learning) system with context awareness approaches. The system is equipped with the HSDPA (or commonly called as 3.5G), sharing devices, as well as five 8.9 inch notebook PCs. Ten 6th grade elementary school pupils and five teachers participate in this pilot study. The pupils are not satisfied about the touch-pad since they keep making mistakes on that pad. However, they bear positive views upon the English learning with context awareness approach, the convenience of 3.5G and Internet sharing with many computers.
