Abstract
Why mobile learning? What is the significance? How can mobile learning open up learning in different parts of the world? The purpose of this panel is to present and discuss current issues on mobile learning by exploring its huge potentiality and limitations we are facing now. For this purpose, six panelists from the US, the UK and Japan who have been actively involved in a wide variety of mobile learning projects and with experience of mobile learning in African countries, Mexico, India, mainland China and Taiwan, as well as the US, the UK, and Japan, will participate. The audience will be able to look at mobile learning from different angles than usual, which may lead to reconfirming powerful potentialities of mobile learning or realizing the other potentialities. Through exploring a global picture of current mobile learning, it may become clear that mobile learning is a wonderful option for opening up learning.
