Abstract

Abstract. The study is based on a quantified qualitative data analysis, regarding collaborative work of 24 in service teachers, who used different tools, activities and strategies in distance or blended learning. Open-ended interviews were applied to selected teachers from a stratified sample designed for the research. Each interview was carefully analysed to identify variables belonging to three main families of the study: Virtual Tools, Virtual Activities and Virtual Strategies. This research focused on the years of service variable (seniority transversal variable). Atlas.ti software was used to process interview texts and graph the variables from each family. On the Virtual Activity family, results showed a significant higher use of collaborative work by senior teachers. The data from this analysis will be used on a second research, to further study professors use of online collaborative work and design a virtual space where they will learn about collaborative work while experiencing with it.
