Abstract

This session is intend to engage the audience as participants in a discussion of the various ways that may be used to assess learning outcomes as a result of teaching and learning interventions. How can one evaluate blogs or grade a wiki or evaluate a twitter stream? Does Facebook offer a learning space? How can the true extent of learning in these environments be measured and recorded? The discussion will include topics of maximizing learner control, establishing rubrics, engaging students in constructive peer-review, and other tools in the assessment / evaluation toolkit as they apply to Web 2.0 technologies.
