Abstract

The growth of e-learning has been phenomenal in recent years (Abernathy Masie,Hoffler(2000).Its efficacy however in the teaching/learning process however has not been fully investigated.Wentling,Waight,Strazzo, File,Fleur&Kanfer(2000),revealed that e-learning could become the major form of training and development within organisations and institutions as it is responsive to learner diversity.Using three universities, the study is an investigation of the social and cultural factors that might aid or impede the sucess of e-learning in Nigeria.
