Abstract

Our R&D study investigates the possibility of establishing a development relationship on visual, animated and interactive learning objects for mathematics education, between Norwegian university teachers that order and describe new learning objects and potential producers of such artifacts in China. It seeks better comprehension of challenges that may come up in an outsourced production and competences needed to meet them. The test design includes a preliminary test with four different Chinese Flash-developing environments that contributed with first prototypes and a test production with one of them. The outcome was five complex and game-like learning objects. This paper summarizes our experiences with the ordering and production process.
