Abstract
“Saber funcionais” is a dedicated site developed for the Portuguese public at large, with specific and updated information on functional foods; these are foods with a proven favourable role upon one’s health. Said information is made available in simple, structured form, so as to be understood by people without a background in applied sciences. It was designed in a user-friendly fashion, with six rolldown buttons for easier access – and received support by the European Commission and the Portuguese Government.
