Abstract

The purpose of this presentation will be to explain how literature circles were implemented into an online class that focused on preparing preservice teachers to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities. This presentation will describe how preservice teachers (1) participated in literature circles for modeling purposes, (2) developed literature circle units for groups of high school students with reading disabilities, and (3) reflected on their participation and possible effects on practice.
