Technology mediated learning have over the years improved and enhanced the way education can be delivered. This paper looks into how recent advances in mobile and wireless technologies could be used to facilitate and enhance the delivery of educational programmes. The developed materials could be contextualised, adapted and delivered to meet the learners’ needs and preferences. “Mobile Education” or m-Learning provides unique opportunities for educators to flexibly deliver their educational material to learners via mobile services anywhere, anytime, anyplace and on any mobile platforms. Here, we present some of the technical issues involved in the delivery of m-education. This paper evaluates recent developments surrounding delivery of education and educational technologies, the delivery of multimedia contents for mobile education and learning and its envisaged impact on the learning experiences of Computing and Engineering students.
