Abstract

Providing feedback is central to the learning process however, students often complain that feedback is either not provided or not effective, faculty often comment that they are challenged by large class sizes and time constraints and students and faculty perceptions of feedback often show marked differences. The purpose of this roundtable discussion is to invite educators to discuss the issue of the ‘Challenge of feedback: Too little too late’, to share examples of best practice in feedback and to consider alternatives ways to provide feedback to learning in progress in addition to providing feedback to assignments or tests. A number of questions are posed by the facilitator as discussion points along with some case examples of good practice in feedback; participants are invited to bring their own case studies and questions to add to the conversation.
