Abstract
Goects is a virtual city that allows students to build their linguistic, listening and cultural awareness skills. All activities were made by the members of the project using as much of the target language as possible. All the creative ideas were made from our own authentic media in order to avoid copyright infringement. Dreamweaver, Goldwave and Windows Picture Viewer are the main programs used to develop our project. Because of the Goects design, students with disabilities will have full access. The residential area includes a street with homes representing specific linguistic and cultural areas, such as France and Germany. Early stages of the project will be shown to demonstrate the constant evolution of our city. As the project expands additional languages will be incorporated. Future growth of the city will include a pedestrian area, schools and a commercial mall.
