This paper discusses on the indicators of best practices of an international program - Science Across Asia Pacific, part of Science Across the World (SAAP/SAW, http://www.scienceacross.org ). SEAMEO-RECSAM located in Penang, Malaysia is the primary project coordinator for the Asia-Pacific region. The SAAP/SAW program involves students conducting Project Based activities locally and sharing the results globally through the internet. Currently, there are over 6,000 teachers in 137 countries facilitating students to collaborate on a whole range of school science topics via information and communication technology (ICT). The project stand on three pillars - (a) Individual students’ exploration work in which students carry out investigations to ‘explore science locally’; (b) Compilation of the individual students’ findings into one class consensus; and (c) Exchanging the class consensus, information and experiences with students from all over the world through various ICT tools.
