Abstract

Teachers need to change their traditional role in order to adapt to this age of rapidly developing technology. To figure out common suggestions on the new teacher's role in computer supported learning environments, research articles and papers that are related to this topic were analyzed for the study. Based on the findings, the teacher is required to have three general skills: technical, managerial, and facilitative. However, current views on the teacher's role are still open to discussion. Suggestions for future studies on the teacher's role are also raised.
