Abstract

Computers have been found to support children's investment and motivation in learning. This study examines the role of the Tablet computer as a tool for engaging young children (3-6 yr.) and to represent their ideas. Children readily became at ease with the writing stylus and screen. While there were glitches associated with learning the new technology, children persisted without becoming frustrated. In general, they were motivated to participate, showed persistence and low frustration in interfacing with the technology.
