Abstract
The promotion of an online collaborative learning community is an effective strategy to promote the construction of knowledge in distributed learning environments. Through web authoring technology, specifically a Wiki collaboration, the development of learning communities can help foster knowledge construction through collaborations. The purpose of this study is to detail a specific application of collaborative knowledge construction as it occurred in online learning community that utilized a team collaborative writing activity within a Wiki web authoring tool.
