Abstract

Abstract: This paper investigates the world of narrative-driven interactive multimedia. Cultures have long used the narrative in many forms in which to assign meaning to concepts in their worlds. This investigation explores not only the power of the narrative in interactive multimedia, but it also addresses problems associated with 3D immersive narrative-driven multimedia in the K-12 classrooms, including cost, perception, and the amount of time required to invest in learning the system and accomplishing tasks within it. Current research should be directed towards the outcomes of using these programs in the K-12 classroom.
