Abstract
Exploring the uses of virtual high school and compressed video courses in a low-socioeconomic rural environment will be the primary focus of this proposal. In this presentation, strengths and weaknesses of technological education will be discussed with respect to high school education as a result of the lack of certified teachers to teach required course offerings. In producing this paper, the following criteria for determining my sources will be discussed: (a) Discussion on the strengths and weaknesses of virtual high school based on student opinions, (b) discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of compressed video classes based according to participating students, (c) benefits of virtual high school and compressed video courses and (d) future recommendations for utilization of compressed video classes in rural environments.
