Abstract

ABSTRACT: This project consisted of four action research studies focusing on using Apple iPods with English language learners in order to promote writing, reading, and listening skills. The action research projects were conducted in two middle schools and two elementary schools in rural and urban locations. Findings indicate that overall writing skills and vocabulary development did improve in the three studies that reported results. One study reports a significant increase in comprehension skills, as measured by standardized tests.
