Abstract

This study examines the evaluation of program assessments of one college of education's effort to maintain their NCATE accreditation while exceeding the technology requirements of NCTM & NETS. Specifically, the researchers are comparing the Math Education program and the Elementary program to the NETS for Preservice Teachers and NETS for specific content areas. Researchers are using seven to eight SPA assessments to determine alignment to the NETS standards. Data from student work, used as evidence in the program report, is being analyzed to determine teacher candidate performance on the NETS standards.
