Abstract
This paper presents a design process for creating learning objects using a variety of software programs. The design process was used in a practicum course offered at a Midwest university in the United States. The course provided an opportunity for course participants to design, implement, and evaluate learning objects to be used as instructional aids for online courses for adult learners. The process utilized proved to be effective. A description of the process from the dual perspectives of the instructor and the student and implications for future use of the process, are presented.
