Abstract

In the College of Education at Ohio University, technology is an integral part of the teacher education preservice program. Technology is being used to train prospective teachers as a resource to integrate into the curriculum. Integration of technology into teacher education programs is the start for integration of technology into k-12 classroom courses. Not much has been reported by way of research findings in terms of faculty and students understanding of the principles employed in teaching as enumerated by Chickering and Gamson (1991). No previous research has been done on how students are using technology especially to enhance their learning in Ohio University College of Education. The focus of this study would therefore be on how students in the College of Education are using Technology to enhance learning and whether their use of technology is in accordance with the seven Principles for Good Practice in Undergraduate Education by Chickering.
