Abstract

To what extent does IT widen the gap between sexes, economic groups, ethnic groups and between countries? What are effective strategies and necessary conditions to help bridge the gap in access to technology tools, connectivity, and knowledge? What does research say about these issues, particularly in the field of K-12 education. How can teachers and teacher education pay attention to issues of equity when using IT in education?
