Abstract

Abstract: This report on Blackboard evaluates its effectiveness as a method of course delivery and tool for teaching and learning in alignment with the expectations detailed in the university strategic plan. Focus group issues formed the basis of a questionnaire for faculty, and survey for students that relate to goals and objectives in the strategic plan. Findings suggest faculty is satisfied with using the varied Blackboard features to promote and sustain high quality and innovative teaching throughout the curriculum, but there is room for improvement. Students agree Blackboard is efficient as a technology tool to enhance their studies. The strategic efforts to integrate teaching and learning with technology training for faculty and students remains viable.
