Abstract
As a crucial component of the NCATE process for program accreditation, an assessment system delineating specific thresholds of candidate performance which must be completed for program progression must be identified. Signature assessments completed by all COE candidates make portal progression much easier to monitor. Across all undergraduate and graduate programs, uniform assessments are given and monitored to standardize portal and candidate matriculation through programs. This paper addresses the process of developing an assessment system, determining signature assessments, how integrating technology can be used to develop and monitor such signature assessments, how those assessments can be used in portal progression, and how the entire process supports accreditation.
