Abstract

Abstract: We are in the process of tailoring analysis tools web platform to educational uses. We have analyzed a number of analysis products and selected the best one with respect to several general features. The selected product, AWStats, was then used to answer to a number of questions of interest to educators. The result was disappointing since only 5 of 8 questions were answered. We then decided to extend our platform to try to give answer to these questions. In the next future, we plan to undertake the work with an even more systematic basis. In particular, we plan to gather requirements of teachers for e-learning platforms. This will be the basis to more flexible and comprehensive analysis. We also plan to include visualization facilities that make easier to teachers the interpretation of results.
