Abstract

Computer and network afford many features to support collaborative learning. These collaborative tools include visualization tools, such as content-specific and content-unspecific tools, argumentation, such as synchronous or asynchronous tools, and management tools, such as mirroring tools, metacognitive tools and advising tools. This paper proposes a design framework that incorporates these collaborative tools to facilitate medical decision-making in a naturalistic distributed learning environment of emergency room (ER).
