Abstract

This paper focuses upon a research study involving the redesign of an instructional Web site. Three expert designers were individually asked to redesign the look and feel for a Web site interface. Through stimulated-recall sessions, the participants commented on their initial design. This study's results shed light on the interplay of the design process with resource gathering and experimentation. The results also show a common sequence for developing graphical objects and Web page levels that can be used to streamline the Web design process.
