Abstract

Preparing teachers to understand the design, development, and evaluation of web sites can be a daunting task. Yet, there are ways in which web site design, development, and evaluation can be taught to make the process a more meaningful and useful experience. WebQuests can be used to help teachers critically apply the skills necessary for designing and evaluating quality websites. This paper describes how WebQuests may be used to help teacher candidates and inservice teachers learn how to design and evaluate websites, as well as how they might teach others these skills.
