Abstract
In 2002 the British Educational Communications Technology Agency (BECTA) commissioned an evaluation of a pilot project of two models of on-line Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Science teachers in Secondary schools. The conduct of the research evaluation was a collaboration between teacher educators and researchers in Science and ICT subject domains in four UK universities. The panel will present perspectives on four different aspects of the study and offer the opportunity for discussion of the key findings and issues raised in relation to models of evaluation of teacher professional development.
