Abstract
In the U.S. federal legislation such as "No Child Left Behind" continue to underscore our systemic failure to provide a meaningful and effective education to certain groups of children, predominantly low-income children, children of color, language minority children and/or those with special needs. As we integrate current and emerging technologies into K-12 and teacher education, are we developing appropriate diversity-responsive systems of accountability to evaluate technology integration in the face of our profound failure in education to serve traditionally underserved children? This paper examines the issue and proposes an accountability framework.
