Abstract

The eTIP Cases develop and assess learners' technology integration decision-making. They present typical classroom technology implementation scenarios to enhance learners' conceptual foundations and decision-making skills on integrating technology. Learners are asked a technology integration question. Next, they collect data from the case, and then compose an essay stating a decision and rationale. These cases are exercises to grapple with the range of issues involved in making instructional decisions when integrating technology and provide a common point of experience for discussion. They allow learners multiple opportunities to practice and debug their thinking and are to supplement, not supplant, clinical experiences. Participants will learn about the content and design of the cases and best practices for their integration, get hands-on experience solving them and using the assessment tools, and be invited use them as a test-bed member.
