Abstract
When the student teachers for the fall 2001 semester gathered for their opening meeting, they heard news of a new requirement: by semester's end each was required to produce and present an eFolio demonstrating how s/he met the INTASC and ISTE standards. Extensive guidance and help would be available. A template and necessary software was provided, but the anxiety was instant. One year later...and eFolios are a way of life. The anxiety now is about how to make the eFolio as good as it can be. This paper discusses the process of implementing a rigorous curriculum change in a pre-service teacher education program. It documents the support structures and materials required. It reports data from a survey of the first year eFolio creators and discusses response from school administrators who hired candidates who used their eFolios during their job search.
