Abstract

The paper covers a specific aspect of the project "Wissenswerkstatt Rechensysteme" (WWR, Knowledge Factory for Computing Systems), a joint research project of twelve German universities. The paper describes an XML-based framework for the integration of existing simulators and real-life experiments into learning environments with emphasis on dynamic content creation making use of simulator and experiment results. The main component of the web-based architecture is a university server that allows indirect access to these simulators and real-life experiments using the web services architecture.
