Abstract
The advent of e-books, faculty web-pages, virtual and instantenous syllabus management, and competing internet based curriculum support systpes poses significant barriers to entry and adoption for college professors searching for the "optimum" blance of technologies and support systems for classroom teching. This paper distills the experiences of a new professor from the external "hi-tech" world who merged business-based learning methodologies with emerging e-book infrastructures and internet based distribution systemns in a small liberal arts college to re-engineer a set of business courses. As a result of this experience the professor has developed a set of "best practices" and "lessons learned" that has energized student adoption of these tools and supported mixed media based learning models while simultaneously improving real/virtual time feedback to publishers and e-book authors.
