Abstract
Reform efforts, designed to improve student achievement, focus on the use of academic standards to improve the achievement levels of students. These reform efforts include the area of technology literacy. These changes have made it necessary to incorporate technology into teacher education for special education. One method is to provide demonstrations of technology-integrated thematic lessons designed for all K-12 students that preservice teachers can emulate in their own classes. This paper will provide a description of several of these thematic lessons developed and used by the authors.
