Abstract
This paper presents the results of a study which aims to research the immediacy-related interactions between students and instructors in synchronous e-learning environments. The target population was composed of circa 100 students, during 12 consecutive weekly sessions. To augment the immediacy, the instructors used a feedback-monitoring tool. The research has found a strong correlation between students' satisfaction and instructors' immediacy, measured or perceived. It also has found that no correlation exists between students' perceived learning and the instructors' content-related behavior. We point out to the limitations of the study and propose further research paths.
