Abstract
The main focus of this paper is to give insight into the continuously developing term and practices of e-consulting. The authors designed a general approach to e-consulting which is described within this paper. To develop this approach, the authors drew conclusions from the history and development of e-learning. Building on experiences made within this field enhances the development and design of e-consulting, without going through as many developmental stages as e-learning needed to, for it was a pioneer within the field of electronic practices.
