Abstract

The center for virtual teaching at the University of Osnabrück (virtUOS) offers consulting services for E-Learning issues. To improve the quality and sustainability of the integration of E-Learning into teaching, virtUOS has developed an E-Learning planning model. The model is used to guide teachers through the process of integrating E-Learning in their courses. During the planning phase of the project, the customers of virtUOS are provided with an overview of E-Learning elements (e.g. 'an online group activity' or 'a lecture recording') that are suitable for implementation depending on the basic requirements and analysis of a project. For each E-Learning element a description of the didactical, organizational and technical issues is provided which can be used as a reference in the planning process.
